So... Has anyone noticed that if you bring over your tyrian char you can't help guildies with the missions (those starting new cantha chars) and most of the quests over there since you can't get in to those areas? Has anyone been able to manage getting into those earlier missions or do you think they are making it like pre-searing in that sense..?

I also noticed that you can't just run ppl to the mainland mission towns unless they have the quest to go along with opening those doors, makes it pretty tough to get runners to areas your not at yet in the plot line, eh?

Yes, there is a way to get to the island. I can't remember the town names, but see if this make sense...

Once you bring your GW-P char into Cantha you will enter a new city. Just below that city (South about 2 inches on the map) is another city (think it was the Market, but not sure). This city is located on the coast and has three diferent portals. Leave through the middle portal that leads to the docks. On the dock is an NPC that will take you to the island via a boat.

Oh i can get to the island (thats where the day of the tengu and gaile grey were yesterday) but as a level 20 from tyria you can't get any of the quests to get into the mission towns or through the portal door to get to the other side of the map...

And yes i think it is a good thing not to be able to be run through the game and actually "earn" your way. Cuts down on being in the last wfew missions and not getting good groups due to ppl getting run through the entire game and not even knowing how to use thier characters!
